The Rockets (41-25) are in a near-identical spot in the standings. Houston beat the Pelicans 107-105 on Thursday, but that was a sloppy 2-point win at home against a 22-46 team — and they failed to cover the 5.5. The Rockets have been grinding out wins but haven’t been covering numbers consistently. They’re getting 2.5 points at home tonight, which tells you the book respects both sides here.
